NOTAM projects

There are several NOTAM projects which are currently underway. Our projects can be divided  into 3 major groups:

• Educational projects

• Scientific projects

• Development of standards and guidelines in transport and aviation medicine

• Educational projects include developing training courses in first aid and basic life support which meet international standards for non-medical professionals who may participate in patient transportation in the context of their occupation e.g. flight attendants, drivers, mountain climbers etc. We also plan to develop a course for medical professionals who care for patients during transportation. Our Commununications specialists section and Aviation Medicine section are working together to develop a course on medical terminology for call center staff and for ambulance dispatchers.
• Scientific projects address various aspects of transport of critically ill patients.
• A major part of the Society‘s activity is devoted to development and implementation of standards and guidelines for advanced life support in the context of transport medicine. We are currently working on the development and implementation of a National protocol of advanced life support in Russia . Currently neither ACLS nor the European advanced life support protocol is implemented in Russia and CIS. Unfortunately, there are also no domestic standards of ALS and CPR in Russia at the present time. We are planning to work together with governmental bodies to develop these protocols in Russia .
